Mr. Keith Teo
Lecturer - Fine Art
Keith is a Singaporean artist who works with abstraction. His practice is a sensorial exploration of the relationship between the machine-made, digital and analogue through the use of colour and materiality. His paintings are a blend of preconceptions and intuition, reflecting an interplay of cognitive and perceptual experiences. He received a training and education from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore in 2015.
Keith was awarded the Highly Commended prize in the Established Artist Category of the 2021 UOB 40th Painting of the Year competition and a finalist for the Clifton Art Prize in 2017. His works have been shown in Southeast Asia, Singapore and Malaysia. Recent and upcoming exhibitions include 39+ Art Space, Singapore; S.E.A Focus, AC43 Gallery and Art Expo Malaysia, Richard Koh Fine Art. He has also worked on projects with Raffles Dhevanafushi Maldives, Wildlife Reserve Singapore and Supermama. His works have been featured in The Straits Times, Channel News Asia, Art & Market (A&M) and S.E.A Focus 2023 Artist Feature.
Since 2017, he has been a dedicated educator at Artify Studio and has also conducted specialised workshops, such as Nude Drawing Workshops at Straits Clan in 2019. He believes in creating a learning environment that encourages exploration, collaboration and the honing of individual artistic voices. Keith’s approach to teaching is not just about imparting knowledge but also about inspiring and nurturing a lifelong passion for the arts.
Ms. Cindy Neo
Lecturer - Fine Art
Cindy Neo is a highly acclaimed visual artist known for her captivating and experimental style. With a fusion of vibrant colors, expressive forms, and innovative techniques, she pushes the boundaries of artistic expression. Through the use of acrylics, resin, and inks, Cindy creates mesmerizing compositions that evoke deep emotions and ignite the imagination. Each brushstroke and layer of color intertwines, weaving a unique visual narrative that dances between chaos and harmony.
Cindy’s artistic talent extends beyond her artworks. She collaborates with prestigious brands such as Maserati, diptyque, and Montblanc, bringing her artistic vision to brand storytelling. By bridging the gap between art and marketing, she designs immersive art experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
As an educator, Cindy is passionate about fostering a vibrant learning environment. Drawing from her extensive experience working with renowned brands across various industries, she aims to cultivate the next generation of artists. Through her guidance, students develop their artistic skills and explore their own creative voices. Cindy encourages innovation and critical thinking, nurturing a culture of artistic excellence in the realm of visual arts.
Cindy’s remarkable talent and dedication to the arts have garnered recognition, including being nominated for the Fullerton Future Luminary Awards and receiving accolades from the HSMAI Adrian Awards and the Interactive Media Awards.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Cindy is the founder of Room To Imagine – Art Studio. Through this venture, she plans and delivers exceptional art experiences for corporate sessions and VIP engagement events. Collaborating with renowned brands like Maserati, Montblanc, and Diptyque, Cindy creates unique art encounters that leave a lasting impact. The studio also caters to participants with special needs, working with organizations such as Home Nursing Foundation, APSN, CPAS, MINDS, and Club Rainbow.
Cindy’s extraordinary journey as an artist, collaborator, and educator is rooted in her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from Lasalle College of the Arts. Her dedication to pushing artistic boundaries and creating meaningful experiences continues to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide.
Mr. Lem Yang Fong
Lecturer - Fine Art
Mr. Lem is a principal at Lem Architects & Associates/Atelier Lem, specializing in architecture and design consultancy. He has extensive experience in the industry, including roles as a director at Fagraea Pte. Ltd., focusing on educational consultancy, and as an adjunct lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. His teaching expertise encompasses subjects such as design principles, architectural history, materials and technology, and professional practice.
With a master’s degree in Creative Technologies from De Montfort University (UK) and a bachelor’s degree in Arts (Multimedia Design) from Curtin University of Technology (Australia), Mr. Lem combines his strong educational background with his practical experience in the field. Mr. Lem’s achievements include winning awards in the URA Heritage Awards for his work on Sophia Hills and Murray Terrace. His dedication to architecture, design, and education is evident in his comprehensive portfolio and commitment to preparing students for the workforce or further education.
Dr. Irene Tan
Lecturer - Fine Art
Dr. Tan Hwee Hoon (Irene) has been an early childhood trainer for more than 13 years in training in-service and pre-service early childhood educators, conducting field supervision, mentoring teachers, reviewing programme management, annual internal and external quality curriculum audits for preschools and kindergartens in Singapore, Indonesia and China.
She has conducted early childhood teacher trainings on Visual and Media Arts Techniques, Classroom Environment Setup, Child Health and Development, Observation and Assessment of Children, Pedagogical Principles and Practices in ECCE, Guiding Children’s Behaviour, Building Positive Relationships with Families and Communities and Professionalism in ECCE Practice. Additionally, she has worked with the teaching staff and the centre principals on curriculum development and processes for continuous review and renewal.
She has also guided students on integrated lesson plan implementation, learning centre setup, routine care, curriculum programme, operations evaluation, professional development needs analysis as well as home-school partnership.
As an early childhood educator, Irene believes in reaching out to families and she has worked with numerous preschools and hosted more than 70 workshops till date to conduct parenting talks and ZOOM workshops to enhance parents’ parenting skills and knowledge through understanding children’s stages of development and emotional well-being for holistic development and growth.
In terms of leadership, Irene has led a team as the centre principal and planned strategically to achieve the national acclaimed SPARK Certification award in providing quality preschool education in 2012 as well as coordinated as the Overseas Adjunct Faculty Lead in Seychelles Foundation Teacher Training Program in 2019.
