Position Overview

Shape the future of music education at the Capital College of the Arts, Management, and Technology (CCAMT) as our Program Coordinator for Music Performance. We’re seeking a passionate music educator to lead our Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs in an innovative, multicultural environment.

Your Impact as Program Coordinator:

1. Academic Leadership

  • Design and implement innovative music curriculum
  • Mentor and support teaching staff

What You’ll Bring:

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Music or Music Education (Master’s
    preferred)
  • Proven experience in music education and program management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with contemporary music education practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The role of a music lecturer at CCAMT involves a mix of desk work and
active teaching. While not entirely desk-bound, full-time lecturers can
expect to spend approximately 20-30 hours per week working at a desk,
using computers and other devices for lesson planning, grading, and
administrative tasks. The job typically does not require lifting weights
exceeding 10 kg (22 lbs).

Teaching duties may involve:

  • Standing for extended periods during lectures and performances
  • Demonstrating musical techniques on various instruments
  • Potential exposure to high sound levels in practice rooms and
    performance spaces
  • Occasional moving of musical equipment and instruments
  • Travel between classrooms and performance venues on campus

While the risk level is generally low, proper precautions should be taken to
maintain hearing health and prevent repetitive strain injuries.
