Ms. Alysia Soon is an experienced teacher at Dimensions International College, specializing in art education across various schools in Singapore and with students of all ages. Alysia’s educational background includes a Diploma in Architecture from Singapore Polytechnic and a BA(Hons) in Interior Design from the Glasgow School of Art. Her research interests focus on exhibition space design, which she pursued during her Master of Arts degree at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and involvement in NUS Museum programs.
As a founder of a start-up arts school, Ms. Soon is passionate about making arts education accessible to children of all backgrounds and fostering community engagement within Singapore’s artistic landscapes.
Ms. Soon’s professional experience extends beyond teaching. She has worked as an interior designer at Broadway Malyan Architects, contributing to large workplace, commercial, and educational design projects globally. She has also worked as an architectural assistant at ADDP Architects, SAA Architects, and as an interior designer at Vince Art and Music Studio. Her diverse experiences in the field have allowed her to develop expertise in areas such as project management, interior design, and 3D modeling.
With a strong skill set in software tools such as Sketchup, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and more, Alysia combines technical proficiency with creative abilities.
Ms. Soon’s notable achievements include receiving a Merit Award in the BCA International Building Design Competition and serving on the Exhibition Committee for the GSA Graduate Showcase in 2021.
