Marianne Sim

Ms. Sim is a dedicated and passionate educator who has devoted her career to nurturing the love of English literature, sociology, and drama in young minds. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Sociology from the National University of Singapore, and furthered her education with a Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education (NIE). In 2006, she completed an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Drama and Drama Education from NIE, paving the way for a fulfilling career in the world of theatre.

With seven years of experience teaching Foundation Drama and GCSE ‘O’ Level Drama, Ms. Sim has honed her skills in directing and performing short theatrical pieces. As a committed member of the Singapore Drama Educator’s Association, she has worked closely with fellow artists, educators, and students to create engaging performances for Celebrate Drama events in 2012 and 2013.

Currently, Ms Sim serves in the leadership role, as the Head of Theatre Faculty at the School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA), where she continues to inspire and collaborate with young talents in the pursuit and appreciation of theatre and theatre education.
