The Diploma in Digital Entrepreneurship and eCommerce Management is a comprehensive program, framed by UK’s FHEQ 4, is tailored to equip students with a profound understanding of digital commerce, with a special focus on the Singapore and broader Asian markets.

In the initial stages of the program, students will refine their business communication and presentation skills, mastering the art of effectively articulating their ideas in a professional environment. They will then embark on an immersive journey into the dynamic world of digital commerce, tracing its historical roots, current trends, and potential future developments. This exploration will offer students a panoramic view of the digital commerce ecosystem and its revolutionary influence on global business.

Alongside this, students will engage in a practical program that simplifies the process of initiating and managing an online venture. They will gain practical exposure to a variety of eCommerce platforms, secure transaction methods, SSL certification, digital shopping carts, and inventory management systems.

The term wraps up with a unique program on Circular Economy Entrepreneurship, which introduces students to the innovative concept of generating value through the reuse and recycling of products, fostering sustainable business practices.

As the program progresses, students will continue to expand their knowledge and skills. They will learn to optimize eCommerce for mobile platforms, design mobile-responsive websites and apps, integrate mobile payment systems, and devise mobile marketing strategies.

Furthermore, students will learn the art of creating compelling product descriptions, blog posts, videos, and social media content that resonates with their target audience. The program also delves into financial management, providing insights into budgeting, cash flow, financial forecasting, and alternative start-up funding. This knowledge will equip students with the financial literacy skills necessary to make informed decisions in their entrepreneurial pursuits.

The program also includes a module on understanding consumer behavior and market trends, empowering students to identify target markets and formulate potent marketing strategies.

The Industry and Career module offers insights into the eCommerce industry and career opportunities in Singapore and the Asian region. This module features guest lectures from industry professionals and visits to local eCommerce businesses.

By the conclusion of the two semesters, students will have a robust understanding of the digital commerce landscape, practical experience with eCommerce platforms and tools, and a strong foundation in business communication, financial literacy, and market research

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Minimum age: 17 years old.
  • Minimum of two ‘O’ Level subject passes (not including English Language) or their equivalent; AND
  • The student will need to submit a statement of purpose and pass an interview.
  • Other qualifications which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Statement of Purpose (500–800 words).

The student will need to describe his/her interest, involvement and experience in the business or e-commerce related disciplines. Experience can include work done with arts organisations or events such as retail, administrative office, film, design, performance, festivals, exhibitions. These can also be events you attended or student projects that you worked on.

Interview

The student will need to participate in an aptitude test and dialogue in relation to the submitted statement of purpose – What are your motivations for choosing this program? Share your interest, influence and aspiration. What do you hope to achieve in this programme? You should also share how this programme might prepare you for your future career path.
