Capital College of the Arts, Management and Technology, in collaboration with the UK’s University of Sunderland, offers a Master of Arts in Visual Practice program. This program is designed to foster originality, creativity, and imaginative thinking in professional practice. It encourages multi-disciplinary approaches across Fine Art and Photography allowing students to develop a unique perspective based on their individual interests.
The MA in Visual Practice aims to deepen students’ knowledge of key concepts, debates, and contexts for contemporary visual practice. It focuses on helping students identify their working philosophy, developmental projects, and career plans. The program emphasizes the importance of understanding the values that drive creative practitioners and developing an enterprising approach to achieve their aims.
Assessment is based on coursework, assignments, project work, presentations, classroom participation and engagement, research-related assessments, and a dissertation, thesis, capstone project, or equivalent research component where required by the programme.

Facilities and Learning Environment
You will be based in the School of Design within the Faculty of Contemporary Art and Design. Facilities include a dedicated MA Art Studio, printmaking studio, photography studio, workshops, high-end computer suites, and various digital printers. The Faculty is known for its high-quality studios, workshops, production facilities, and practice-led research. Students will benefit from:
