The Advanced Diploma in Emerging Technologies and Entrepreneurship is designed to give students an in-depth understanding of the principles and attributes of Business 3.0 and Web 3.0, as well as the skills they need to navigate the emerging landscape of decentralized networks, blockchain technology, and the digital economy, building upon the foundational knowledge of these concepts
The 9 months Advanced Diploma is framed by Web3.0 and Business 3.0, and is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in the emerging field of Web3.0 and its impact on the digital economy. The course emphasizes the use of decentralized technologies and their applications in various domains, including finance, regulation, privacy, sustainability, machine learning, and the future of work. Students will be exposed to a range of theoretical and practical concepts, tools, and techniques that are relevant to the Web3.0 ecosystem. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, and project-based learning, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills necessary for success in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The course uses a combination of theoretical and practical learning approaches, providing students with opportunities to engage in hands-on projects and case studies, as well as simulations and real-world applications of Web3 technologies. Students will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to analyze, design, implement, and evaluate Web3 and decentralized applications and digital assets, and to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing and complex digital environment.
This course will also focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, enabling students to apply their knowledge of Web3 and the Digital Economy to real-world problems and opportunities. Students will work on projects and assignments that require them to think critically and creatively about how to solve problems in the digital economy, using Web3 technologies and decentralized networks.
In summary, Emerging Technologies and Entrepreneurship provides students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities they need to succeed in the emerging digital economy. The course offers a holistic and socially-engaged experience that emphasises hands-on learning. Upon completion, students will gain knowledge to apply them effectively in a variety of corporate, government, educational and nonprofit settings.
To enhance their learning, students can also take up to 2 complementary elective modules from the other programmes in the Faculty of Management and Technology.

This program is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the complexities and nuances of the digital commerce landscape, with a particular emphasis on practical application and real-world problem-solving.
In this Advanced Diploma level, students will embark on a Capstone Project, a comprehensive experience where they will apply the knowledge and skills they’ve gained throughout the program to create a business plan, develop a prototype, and present their entrepreneurial venture to a panel of industry professionals.
The program also includes a module on Digital Storytelling & Presentation, which hones the technical aspects of crafting compelling digital content and enhances students’ ability to present their ideas and products to a digital audience effectively.
Students will be introduced to eCommerce Analytics & Conversion Optimization, where they will learn to use analytics tools and techniques to assess website traffic, customer engagement, and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
The program also covers Cybersecurity & eCommerce Risk Mitigation, equipping students with knowledge about cybersecurity principles, data protection, and risk mitigation strategies in eCommerce. In the eCommerce Operations and Logistics module, students will learn about the operational aspects of running an eCommerce business, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and the use of technology to streamline these processes. The Global eCommerce Strategies module explores the opportunities and challenges associated with expanding an eCommerce business on a global scale, while the Legal & Ethical Considerations in Digital Commerce module probes into the legal and ethical aspects of digital commerce. Finally, the Sales Strategies & Customer Relationship Management module focuses on sales negotiation tactics, CRM, and customer retention techniques, equipping students with the skills to forge robust customer relationships and design effective CRM systems.
Student are guided in the Industry and Career 2 module, which provides insights into the eCommerce industry and career opportunities in Singapore and the Asian region, featuring guest lectures from industry professionals and visits to local eCommerce businesses.

Description
The Advanced Diploma in Arts Management is a 1-year course designed to develop students’ practice and deepen their understanding of the contexts, theories, principles and trends in the creative industries. By developing in students an understanding and appreciation of the arts, and the range of skills necessary to manage cultural resources – both human and material – this course prepares them to work in a diversity of arts and entertainment environments, ranging from large organizations and government departments to self-employment in the arts.
Through experiential learning with industry experts, tutors and peers, students will engage with theoretical and practical debates surrounding different aspects of arts and cultural management, such as audience development, access, finance, cultural policy, cultural production, digital practices and international collaboration. Students will learn the importance of creativity and management, given the increasing global competition as well as the opportunities and challenges posed by new technologies. Here, students will also have the opportunity to engage with tutors and peers from across disciplines and work collaboratively to conceptualize and execute events, exhibitions and productions.
As a career-focused training programme, this course offers a placement component where students have the opportunity to work on their own interest within a cultural organization – such as museums, concert venues, theatres, art studios, film sets, and post-production houses – locally and/or internationally. This time in the industry provides valuable professional insights, experiences and networks that will help them prepare for their future careers.
Alongside this will be visits to galleries, studios, museums, theatre venues and guest lectures covering a range of topics concerning the creative and entertainment sectors. The student will need to describe his/her interest, involvement and experience in the arts. Arts experience can include work done with arts organisations or events such as film, design, performance, festivals, exhibitions. These can also be events you attended or student projects that you worked on.
INTERVIEW
The student will need to participate in a dialogue in relation to the submitted statement of purpose – What are your motivations for choosing this course? Share your interest, influence and aspiration. What do you hope to achieve in this programme? You should also share how this programme might prepare you for your future career path.
